Slag & Water Walking Tour

Join local historian Andre Weltman to see the furnace “head race” and “slag heap,” a man-made mountain of waste products from smelting iron. Meet at the Old Stone Furnace Stack for an introductory presentation, then walk a half-mile on uneven terrain, moderate slopes, and a little mud. Wear proper footwear. For the walking half of this event, space is limited to 15.
