The Iron Brigade In Herbst Woods With Jim Hessler & Eric Lindblade

Join LBGs Jim Hessler and Eric Lindblade for a tour that will cover the history of the famous Iron Brigade. Follow the Brigade’s fierce engagement in Herbst Woods with the regiments of Pettigrew’s brigade on the afternoon of July 1, 1863. The tour will have an emphasis on the 26th North Carolina Infantry, and its colonel, Henry K. Burgwyn, Jr. This tour will be from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022, and the tour will begin at the West End Guide Station. Parking will be on the right side of Stone and Meredith Avenue, but please keep all four tires on the pavement, and save room for buses in front of the John Burns Monument.

Tickets will be $15 for Members, and $25 for Non-Members.
