Festival of Lights 2022

Kick off the holiday season by helping us count down to the tree lighting in Crist Park! In addition to the lighting of the trees, this event will be full of festive cheer including a parade, free horse-drawn carriage rides, a live ice sculpture demonstration resulting in an interactive ice sculpture, selfies with Santa, and carolers.

The first annual Shippensburg Pumpkin Festival will feature three fantastic days of live pumpkin carving, food trucks, craft vendors, live music, kids’ activities, a tractor parade, a pie-eating contest, a pumpkin pie bake-off, and more!

The Annual National Apple Harvest will be held October 1 & 2 and 8 & 9, 2022. The festival is presented by the Upper Adams Jaycees. As always, the festival is held the first two full weekends in October, rain or shine.

Located in the heart of Pennsylvania apple country, the National Apple Harvest Festival celebrates the fall season with beautiful handmade crafts, delicious food, and jam-packed entertainment.

The Festival has something for everyone with special attractions ranging from steam engine displays, antique cars, orchard tours, and pony rides to tastings, craftsmen demonstrations, and more.

Fall Carlisle marks the end of the automotive flea market season each year and is an absolute must-attend event to buy, sell and celebrate all things automotive. The annual M&T Bank Harvest of the Arts in historic downtown Carlisle will feature the usual array of beautiful art, crafts, music, shopping & dining. The event will also feature a kids’ alley highlighting our youngest artists in addition to crafts for kids. The always popular street food and music will be back to round out the event.

Entertainment, food and activities celebrating the history and heritage of Middletown. The Middletown Heritage Festival Parade kicks off the Festival with the Frederick County Honor Guard leading the parade down Main Street to Elm Street. With its dance groups, floats, marching bands and a variety of community organizations, the parade is always a highlight of the day.

Our Fifth Annual Sunflower Festival is a great way to spend the weekend among our sunflowers! We have planted approximately 50 acres of free sunflowers on our farm for you to enjoy.  We have food trucks and our last annual Gourd Oops Sale for this year. The 40th annual In the Streets festival includes four stages of live entertainment and nine blocks of themed fun, including areas highlighting children’s activities, local art organizations, regional artisans, history and sports!

Don’t miss the Craft Beverage Experience located on the scenic Carroll Creek Linear Park from Noon – 5 PM.  Featuring live music, food and selections from local breweries and distilleries, this attraction is the perfect way to sample the best of the County’s craft beverage scene!

Jubilee Day: A great way to kick off the summer.

Presented annually by the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce, Jubilee Day is the largest, longest-running one-day street fair on the east coast attracting up to 70,000 attendees. The 92nd edition of this annual event features more than 325 vendors from near and far offering food, games, arts & crafts, business information, retail products, carnival rides, live entertainment on two stages throughout the day, and more! Admission is FREE.

The Jubilee Day festival takes place on Main Street from York Street to Walnut Street and on Market Street from Simpson Street to Strawberry Avenue. Free parking and shuttle service are available from the Mechanicsburg High School parking lot (accessible from Williams Grove Rd) and Immanuel Church at 800 S. Market Street. The event runs rain or shine.

Join cider makers from all over Pennsylvania for the state’s premier cider-tasting event!

A portion of the festival proceeds will go toward the Pennsylvania Cider Guild. The Pennsylvania Cider Guild is a community of cider makers, cider drinkers, and associated businesses unified around the common goal of growing the market for Pennsylvania cider. Through education, communication, outreach, and legislative reform, we are collectively increasing the accessibility of Pennsylvania cider locally, regionally, and nationally.

The Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Festival celebrates Greek customs, food, and culture. Come and experience authentic Greek cuisine, live music, and traditional dance performances by the Parathosi Dance Troupe.

A Gettysburg Christmas Festival, the popular annual event that draws thousands to town, will return this year and take place over two weekends, Main Street Gettysburg announced this week. Festival weekends will be Dec. 3-5 and Dec. 10-12 and will feature 2021-appropriate activities, promotions, and traditional small-town holiday charm. Main Street Gettysburg produces the event each year as a way to promote the holidays in historic downtown Gettysburg and encourage locals, visitors, and businesses to enjoy all that the town has to offer.
Participation can be a day, a weekend or both weekends. Participating events will be listed on the Festival’s official website at www.AGettysburgChristmasFestival.com, and Main Street Gettysburg will promote the Festival and the individual events. Festival hours: Saturday 11 AM to 7 PM, followed by the Hairy Hand at 7 PM; and Sunday 11 AM to 4 PM. There is no charge to enter the park and attend the festival itself.

Both the Appalachian Trail Museum and the Pine Grove General Store will be open during Fall Fest weekend on October 19 and 20. In addition, the Ironmaster’s Mansion will be offering tours at 1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM during Fall Fest weekend. There will be a shuttle bus operating on Saturday to take guests from Fuller Lake to the Museum, Store, and Mansion during Fall Fest.

Bring your family and friends to the Bubbler Foundation Festival at South Middleton Park. The Festival is held annually on Labor Day weekend preceding the Community Fireworks Show. The annual Labor Day fireworks will follow the festival beginning at dusk at the Boiling Springs High School football field.

For 2021, the Shippensburg Corn Festival is moving from downtown to the Shippensburg Fairgrounds.

Corvettes at Carlisle, at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, is the largest Corvette event in the world. Join enthusiasts and over 5,000 of America’s classic sports car in a weekend filled with fun and all-things ‘Vette.

The fairgrounds will be packed and offer a huge automotive flea market with a wide variety of vendors, an all-Corvette car corral, and more.
