“Jason Dea West is an American troubadour who sings what he lives and lives what he sings. Wests’ poignant lyrics are brilliantly blended with vintage country, folk and blues, and timely sensibilities. From epic guitar and harmonica instrumentals to humorous song as story, Jason never strays very far from the anarchic punk-folk roots of his beloved former band Barefoot Surrender and his celebrated current band Intuitive Compass.”
This is going to be a show for the ages here at the Garryowen, and we sure are glad Jason got a hold of us to make it happen! Be sure to grab a pint before sitting down and listening to the tales of this talented musician.

They have a few new faces in the group, but still put on a heck of a show for any who come out to watch. Enjoy their own take on Irish music, with original compositions that compete with anything from the ‘old country.’

“The Clark McLane Band, electrified folk from North Central Pennsylvania. Chris Stanonis, Shawn Carr, Tom Rainey, and Clark McLane found themselves somewhere in Northern Pennsylvania, on a Sunday morning in a diner with plates clinking, meat sweating, cigarettes burning in creased polyester-over a ridge where time forgot to get-in a church basement with a worn upright piano pounding out just enough melody to bring it home- in the sawdust on lunch break-by the creek bed under thirsty sycamores. They are an engaging quartet that can play to any room with a Martin and a couple of Fenders, some drums and a few mics. They play songs out of time, unrefined, urgent & sincere, songs that wouldn’t tell you what if you asked.”
*And they’re brining Chuck Darwin & The Knuckle Draggers with them on the 5th! Some of the finest PA bluegrass you’ll ever hear, all in one night.*
Two shows in one year! We’re ecstatic, and you should be too! Join us on Feb. 5th and May 21st for something you won’t want to miss.

“Constantly exploring different genres and mediums to make music, Ethan Larsh’s constant is his ability to write authentic, sometimes deeply personal lyrics, to create memorable hooks, and to deliver a discernible energy and vibe that is inescapable in both his live and recorded work.”
From Waynesboro, PA, we’re happy to have another local grace our pub. It’s been awhile since Ethan played here last, but it’ll be a show to remember. We’ll see you at the GO!

Toe-tappin’ tunes in an intimate environment. Stop by for the recently re-located to New Orleans group Secret Bandwagon and enjoy a nice dinner with some calming music. It’s the perfect music for dinner and a show. We’ll see you at the GO!
*Our acoustic acts are back in the GO Too! This is a first come, first served area. Once we get into warmer months we’ll host acoustic acts in our Courtyard (on a case-by-case basis).

Another Gettysburg neighbor is gracing the Garryowen with their talent. Welcome Chris Carl! He’ll be bringing a little soul to the GO. There are two chances to see him, so don’t be shy.
All shows in The GO Too are first come, first served. Don’t forget to tip, and we’ll see you at the GO!

“If you’ve been wondering, “Where are all the good lion-wrestling, Buddhist monk, Americana singer-songwriters?” It’s time you meet Bill Bloomer. The singer, guitarist, and songwriter is keeping the troubadour tradition alive, performing on two or three continents a year. He may be playing at a festival in Terlingua one month, and then busking in France on the way to festivals in the United Kingdom and house concerts in Scandinavia. So what does he sound like? Sinewy guitar lines played on a vintage 1930 “The Gibson,” melodies that stick to your ribs, lyrics that can evoke a laugh or a tear (sometimes in the same song), and a voice like bourbon; strong, bracing, and with a sweet tinge of honey in songs telling a story like the whisper of a friend.”
You are in for a treat with this one, folks. We had to unfortunately cancel on Bill last year and the year before, but we are happy to be bringing him back. There’s more to Bill Bloomer than I could do justice on here, so give the following links a click and enjoy the many wonders of this wonderful troubadour: http://billbloomer.com/

“Writes songs, plays concerts, paints abstract horses and custom dog portraits.” A man of many talents, and one we are happy to have coming back to our little pub.

A lot of you might be familiar with his band, The Silos. He’ll be solo for this show. Follow the links below to see what Walter has been up to. You might be surprised how much he’s involved in.

Twice in one year?! We can’t get enough. Andrew Grimm and June Star are returning to our humble pub. They are always an impressive performance. We can’t wait!
“Tangible lyrics with music rooted in American dirt… the poetic mixes with clear snapshots of everyman in an everyday… live performances are affecting and thought provoking…”
“June Star was formed in 1998 by Andrew Grimm. Their first shows opening for the likes of the Vroys and the Damnations TX indicated that it would be a short ride to the top. Since then they have played many many many shows delivering ringing electric guitars with rustic American rhythms on pretty much the same level as they started. It was been quite a plateau. June Star continues to put out quality recordings… at this point… sixteen records have been released… the most recent being The Late Spring.”

You can check out their music on https://junestar.bandcamp.com.

1Local singer-songwriter steeped in American Roots Rock & Blues joins us three times in 2022. Get ready for evenings of acoustic, original tunes!

Truly a unique act unlike anything yet, Mike Oregano has fully commercialized both the aesthetic and sonic details of the “One Man Band” concept. Performing in a unique Reggae/Hip Hop/Jazz style, he is sure to turn heads wherever he is rockin’!
Mike uses his feet to hit the drums as well as an array of fully intuitive pedal boards complete with: loopers, bass splits, synthesizer sounds, etc. He records the rhythm section (guitar and bass) on the spot, and layers over it with drums, solos, fills, etc. all while singing, rapping, or talk boxing, and soloing on his guitar simultaneously.

He’s back! ‘Olds Sleeper’ has a knack for that old timey blues/folk. It gets into your soul, and you can’t help but be enchanted by his playing. He’ll be playing three show for us in 2022. Stop out and relax for a few!
“Heath’s a blues and Americana musician from York, PA. His music is a mix of originals that draws from Delta blues, old country, folk, and Americana. He’s been featured on WITF as an artist of the month, https://www.witf.org/…/witf_music_olds_and_the_absolution/, and nominated as an artist of the year by Saving Country Music, (https://www.savingcountrymusic.com/?s=olds+sleeper). He was also featured on NODEPRESSION.com, https://www.nodepression.com/…/an-interview-with-olds…/.
Heath has played extensively over the Lancaster/York area, including Tellus 360 as a MFE featured songwriter, Mudhook Brewing, Lancaster Dispensing Co., Moondancer Winery, Molly’s Courtyard Cafe, and McCleary’s in Marietta. He was also featured as an emerging artist at the 2018 Susquehanna Folk Music Festival. He currently plays every second Friday at Stoll and Wolfe in Lititz, PA.”

“The Thompson Triplets deliver a super fun and totally radical show that will get the crowds dancing, pogoing, and going wild every time. This totally gnarly group of dudes can roll out the 80’s cheese via everywhere from an acoustic duo to a full on electric and synth infused five piece band. Either way, The Thompson Triplets will like totally rock you!”
Well, not much more can be said that they haven’t said about themselves. It’s going to be an 80’s party, so dress up if it fancies you. Don’t be afraid to show off your most fabulous 80’s garb. Nothing is off-limits (but clothes must be worn)!
We don’t mind dancing (except on bars and tabletops), but be respectful of other patrons sitting at tables in the room.
Other than that, stop by and feel young again!

It’s another first for the Garryowen! Cagan Goldstein and Jackie Conley are ready to put on a show for you. Both have extensive background in multiple musical genres, and have great harmonies playing together. It’s going to be good show, and you might be surprised at the talent they bring to the GO!

“Golden Shoals bridge the sometimes distant worlds of traditional bluegrass and old time music together. With one foot steeped in tradition and the other focused on fresh songwriting, Golden Shoals are helping to further the narrative of American Roots music and introducing the traditions of our past to a whole new generation of listeners.” – Kris Truelsen, WBCM Radio Bristol.

Another Saturday, another first time show at the GO! We’re excited to share our space with Amy Alvey and Mark Kilianski. It’s going to be a fun dinner show, so be sure to grab something to eat and enjoy!
